Many new questions and fascinating physical demonstrations for the ’Igra Uma’ TV show, broadcasted nationwide on Petersburg-Channel 5, have been filmed at POISK Centre.

’Igra Uma’, which means ’game of a mind’ in Russian, is a weekly science-oriented intellectual TV show for secondary students.

Questions were provided by Dr. Robert Kolalis, Dr. Elena Lebedeva and Ilya Martchenko.

Ivan Yamshikov, a third-year student at the Department of Physics (Saint Petersburg State University) and a POISK Centre representative, is now the successful major presenter at ’Igra Uma’.

The cooperation between ’Igra Uma’ and POISK Centre began in 2005 when the first questions and experiments were filmed and provoked many curious discussions at the shows. ’Igra Uma’ is aired nationally in Russia since October 2006.
